DIY- Protein Balls
It’s summertime, which means swimsuit season, which means eating healthy!! I found the EASIEST, quickest, healthiest DIY. It has five simple ingredients and takes about 15 minutes TOTAL to concoct. If that didn’t sell you on them, this will- you can COMPLETELY make them your own. Use whatever you please, just stick to the general science of grains and a “glue” to hold them together (honey and peanut butter).
⅔ cup creamy peanut butter (you CAN substitute with almond butter)
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup old fashioned oats
½ cup ground flax seeds
2 tablespoons honey
Throw all of the ingredients in a bowl, in no specific order, and mix until combined. Stick the mixed ingredients in the refrigerator to harden for about 15 to 30 minutes. Once you take them out, break the ingredients apart and roll into balls- and viola! They’re ready to eat! No baking time, healthy, yummy and quick!
